and for the boys!!

As our club project this year is about the boys, I thought I'd better get my finger out and think about some outfits. I was given these two K*R 101 by Gabi Bothen-Hack way back in 1994. They have been in their undies all this time but never had a costume so thought i might get on with it whilst I'm still convalescing (which by the way is slow going and very frustrating!)
The Bru project is also very slow going but I need to do this very carefully and make sure I write all the instructions down as I go to make it as comprehensive a course as I would like it to be.
Just wish I had more energy right now........

Feeling sorry for myself!!

Just got out of the hospital following surgery to remove gallbladder. still feeling very sore and sorry for myself. The worst of it is, is feeling frustrated that i have this time but not the fitness to get on with my projects!! Now that the Tonner doll is finished and on her way back to the States i want to get on with the Bru dolls, the 12" one and a costume for the 24" one. hopefully i will feel better soon..... in the meantime I'm also thinking about getting that 'Dream baby' workbook finished!!

And she is finished!

I've now got her finished, just have to pack her up safely and send her on her way back to the US for final judging. just hope it gets there on time. One thing i have discovered is that sizing on these dolls does have to be so accurate to get the look i was after. Anyway no time to worry about it now she has to return ASAP.

She's nearly finished!

Well the Tonner doll arrived and I have bean beavering away to make her new outfit. My original thoughts were "Lady's Day at Ascot" now I'm not so sure. I still have to make her a purse and a bit of jewelery perhaps. here she is anyway.............

The Tonner doll finally arrived!

Well she finally arrived now I have this weekend to get her outfit sorted out. My pattern that fits the Madra doll needs altering as Tyler has wider hips and a bigger waist although she is the same height (16") so work to do.......wish me luck with this by the way, I am pleased with myself to have got this far but to win........here goes!

Half hour workshop for the Southern Belles AGM

This weekend was the AGM of the Southern Belles but I wasn't able to be there as I was away myself. I did manage to provide a quick and easy half hour workshop which I hope went down well. I printed some fabric with the Southern Belles logo on and made up a scissor keeper. I think they look OK.........

Now to concentrate on the Tonner doll (when it arrives) and the Bru project.
