And the flowers........

This is just to say thankyou to Mike and Lesley from Ellie's doll workshop for the lovely flowers given to all the judges, totally uneccessary it was a pleasure but thankyou.

It's been a hectic few days.........

I seam to have been on the go all week! I would really like to have a long sleep in but don't seem to be able to sleep either, even today when I finally get a bit of a day off!!
I spent Saturday in Bristol taking my daughter to her first trampolining competition, she got placed second in her group whoo! so we have one happy bunny and Mother managed to make a fool of herself in the parents and coaches fun competion, at least I finished 8th out of 16 so not too bad but not sure I will get over the distress I caused my body!! discovered muscles I didn't know existed!

Ellie's Doll Fair, exhibition and competition.

This was on top of the stress of knowing that I had an exhibition the next day and preparations were scanty to say the least, But it was a lovely day. I spent most of the day judging the competition but we were well looked after and and it was great to see so many old friends.

Such a beautiful day.....

In this part of the world, it seams that nature is catching up with itself and after such a cold winter and spring, it has flipped and it's actually too hot to sit outside! I've been distracted by all sorts of things in the garden, still frustrated at the lack of shed as the grass needs mowing and I can't get the mower out of the tent at the moment, let alone tackle the grass that is growing around the tent! Anyway, we are taking advantage and some good friends will be joining us tomorrow for a barbeque.

I'm supposed to be getting ready for an exhibition next weekend in Bournemouth at Ellie's doll fair. I have at least made a start and laundered all the baby gowns, the sun will do its bit of bleaching!

The lilac blossom has been lovely this year, well actually it has been a good year for the blossom all round

Hats, Hats and more Hats!

My task this weekend at our monthly doll club is to demonstrate how to make an ordinary commercially bought straw hat into something else. our project doll is the Kestners little Googly, so I have come up with 3 different straw hats for her.

It's my Birthday!

I'm really not counting the years any more, getting older but feeling good! Unfortunately it has been a long day at work, but looking forward to going out tonight with a few friends and my lovely daughter.

A good few years have passed since I was 8!
And the trees are in blossom as usual at this time of year!

Over a month!!

It's been well over a month since I last posted! how did that happen?

Life has generally been on a roller coaster just lately, haven't had time to draw breath!

The good news is that although there has been very little crafty stuff going on, I have got my hardstanding done ready for the shed to arrive in the next week or two. That will mean that my new work room can become fully functional!

I have finally taken the plunge and bought a new car which I should be picking up in a week or two as well so the constant worry about arriving anywhere in one piece will be sorted out. And, I have been planning for my exhibition stand at Ellie's doll workshop fun day at the end of May, It should be a really fun day, and I've just about got a beginners class all sorted and prepared for to start in June.

These are the two project dolls for complete beginners to antique doll reproduction. I am looking forward to doing that class as i have some very interested people willing to learn.

And as yesterday was May Day, we traditionally went to the Downton cuckoo Fair, great fun as usual but very crowded, where did all those people come from?

And the usual entertainment......very good dancing in the streets!
